Sam Miller is a dynamic and dedicated electrical engineer who brings experience and a passion for innovation to EDGE. Sam is well-equipped to tackle complex engineering challenges with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Davis, and an Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
After graduating, Sam joined EDGE, where he has played a role in projects, including the expansive KP Folsom ASC Expansion and multiple projects for the Sacramento County Department of Airports. Specializing in CAD, Revit, Visual (photometrics), and SKM (coordination studies), Sam focuses on lighting design, power distribution, and coordination studies. His technical skills and meticulous attention to detail have made him an asset in projects involving distribution and mechanical equipment.
Beyond his professional life, Sam enjoys powerlifting, indoor rock climbing, and working on cars. A lover of the outdoors, Sam often goes hiking and camping. Cooking is another of his passions, and he's always eager to try new recipes. Sam is also an animal enthusiast, sharing his home with two cats and a leopard gecko, and he dreams of adding a dog to his family.
Sam's professional philosophy revolves around continuous growth and lifelong learning. He is committed to earning his Professional Engineer (PE) license and expanding his expertise across different design sectors. He stays up-to-date by studying the California Electrical Code (CEC) and the National Electrical Code (NEC). At home, he incorporates yoga into his weekly routine, balancing his physical and mental well-being.
